Cocky racing driver Tyler Joseph is sidelined after one risk too many. After being at the center of a fiery crash, he’s forced to rest and recover at his best friend’s farmhouse or he’ll miss the rest of the season. Tyler does what he wants, though, and what he wants right now is the hot, sexy little physiotherapist whose hands only touch him where it hurts.
Alec Lands is a sucker for a pretty face, and Tyler’s too much temptation to bear. He’s promised himself he’ll stop dating trouble, but Tyler is flirty, dirty, and stubborn as hell. He can’t resist, even though it could end both their careers.
What was supposed to be a one-time thing leads to more. They can’t stop. No matter how hard they try, they can’t shake this chemistry that pulls them together, and the longer it goes, the worse the consequences of discovery. Tyler’s career and Alec’s family are as homophobic as each other, and every risk they take could end them forever… but Alec wants to keep up with Tyler’s fast-paced life, and Tyler is tired of leaving men in the dust. Can they both resist hitting the brakes on their maybe-forever when it turns out that old habits die hard?
Clutch is a standalone gay romance novel with an HEA ending and no cliffhanger. Book #6, Tremble, will be available in May 2018!
Can I say that I appreciate reading these stories on KINDLE UNLIMITED?
I haven’t met a book by Ed Davies that I didn’t love. Truism. This series is especially endearing because all of the main characters are interesting and lovable. This holds true with Tyler, a race car driver, and Alec, a physiotherapist. Tyler is out to his closest friends and race team but coming out, really coming out, would likely be the death of his sponsorships and therefore his career. Racing in the South is not known for inclusiveness. He did have a gay-friendly sponsor previously, but the current sponsor didn’t appear to fly the rainbow flag, so to speak. When Tyler is involved in a spectacular collision, that could have killed him, he was in hopes to rehab and quickly return to the race. The estimated time of return was 8 weeks and Tyler thought ‘not only NO but Hell No’. He would lose points with every missed race and could lose his sponsorship, his car, and his team. When he was referred to physiotherapist Alec, his gaydar rang loudly.
Alex, unfortunately, was even more in the closet than Tyler. As a physiotherapist to professional athletes, in the South, he was reasonably concerned about the effect on his career if he was outed. Alex was lonely and really had nothing outside of his career. There was immediate mutual attraction and sizzle. Unfortunately, ethically, Alec can’t be involved with a patient and Tyler has never dated, been involved in a relationship although, Alec may be the one.
In this story, you will find a tablespoon of SUSPENSE, more than a dash of camaraderie and brotherhood mixed very carefully with the connection, intimate moments, some sensual and some downright ‘smoking’ to add just the right flavor!
This is another auto-buy, another sure thing from this accomplished author providing consistently pleasurable stories.
(Significant Brothers Book 1)
After zero-gravity heroics left astronaut Nicolas Rogers injured, his new job as a park ranger seems perfect. Being a caretaker of his corner of the Smoky Mountains makes him almost okay with having to be on Earth. More importantly, this deep in the woods, Nico’s practically a hermit at a remote ranger station. Sure, he has good friends in nearby Knoxville, but he’s otherwise free from petty drama and broken hearts… until Deen enters his world.
Caught in a compromising position by relentless paparazzi, rock star and international playboy Deen Jayse barely escaped with his career intact. He needs image rehab and a break from fame. His manager strongly suggests a stint in the Smokies, promoting national parks and being wholesome. Which would be a lot easier if Nico weren’t there in his sexy park ranger uniform.
Nico already has his hands full with arsonists at the park without Deen adding to his workload. He thinks he has to babysit a spoiled celebrity, but when he catches a glimpse of the man behind the persona he sees something he can’t resist. They’ve both experienced the isolation of fame, and while their loneliness brings them together, their worlds threaten to tear them apart. Deen can’t just drop everything to go live in the mountains, and Nico can’t abandon them… After a taste of being together, how can they possibly face a future apart?
